Update

The past few weeks have been busy busy organising a few fundraising events, the first of which was held yesterday! A car boot sale; was a painful 7am start, but it was worth it! Apparently people love getting up super early to buy second hand nick nacks. I'd made £25 before I'd even finished unpacking my car, people were that eager! I raised the grand sum of £211.60 from that one sale, not too bad eh! Still have quite alot of stuff left over though, so will be organising a second car boot sale in a few weeks time. Hopefully that one will be just as successful!

In other fudraising news, Guernsey has recently had elections and so I have been writing to the newly appointed Deputies to tell them about this cycle challenge. I have had quite a few generous donations come through as a result, which is great! One sponsorship in particular that I wish to mention is from Deputy and Mrs Storey, who have committed to sponsoring me 50p per kilometer cycled. With the challenge being almost 400km in total, that's quite a substantial amount (assuming that I completed the entire thing of course). So i'd just like to say a big thank you to them, and also to the others who had sponsored me so far :).

Exciting times in the next few weeks, namely Jubilee Weekend because Steph is travelling from across the water to visit me in Guernsey! That weekend there is an event called the Rocque to Rock, where anyone who wishes to can cycle the approx. 33miles/53km around the island to help raise money for Les Bourgs Hospice. Although we won't be raising money for Les Bourgs (raising money for one charity at a time is hard enough!), we will be taking part. I have done it before in previous years and it's good fun, a brilliant way to see the island and you meet people from all walks of life. Will also be a good opportunity for Steph and myself to see where we are cycle ability and fitness wise compard to each other!
