Jessie an I have set up this blog to keep you all up to date with our challenge, starting with the fund raising and training right up to the actual challenge its self.
The challenge begins on November the 8th where we will be cycling from Ho Chi Minh City in Vietnam and arriving as two sweaty messes and 400km later in Siem Reap, Cambodia. Flights where booked on Sunday and training began Monday, needless to say I am sat here on Valentines (alone) craving pizza already - I think this will be the toughest part of the challenge, not being able to eat anything with cheese :( However the show must go on and so it has, Jessie has already cycled around Guernsey, a round trip of 28miles, just triple that, times it by 5 days add a touch of humidity and its like we're already on the challenge, only joking Jess!! I've been to a couple of spin classes, which was mainly climbing, apparently I need to practice my bike control as dodging dogs and small children is actually more important that being able to climb the non existent hills on our cycle - I'll get onto that this weekend.
So all that is left to do, is sort out my fund raising ideas. I've had brilliant support from my chosen charity Roy Castle, the lady Bec's that I've been emailing has been beyond helpful, so I'm really excited to get stuck in.
Speak to you soon,
Steph xx
P.s - this is our finish line - pretty incredible!!
